It is about the summer arrives and the terraces have already opened their doors including the terrace Montpensier. So at first glance does not say much that name but if you are in Seville, you like your culture and you know where is located the terrace, that name probably charge a broader sense than just a terrace in summer sense to which I refer is the more recent historical the city of Seville. Well, nothing, open cultural post using as an excuse this terrace full of wonderful things ... well to what was, the Duke of Montpensier, Antonio de Orleans for friends, was born in Neuilly (France) in 1824, and as know that at that time the fate of the crown and of diplomatic relations between countries agreed in weddings, so the father of Antonio de Orleans, negotiated the marriage of his son with the Infanta Maria Luisa of Bourbon, born in Madrid but "recria" in Seville. Married and the French Revolution exploded, the couple moved to the Palacio de San Telmo in Seville, which was donated after the death of the Infanta to the Archdiocese of Seville, was also donated to the city with its gardens for the Ibero-American Exhibition 1922. What we now know as Parque de Maria Luisa, were nothing more than the gardens of the Palacio de San Telmo.
Well this is a touch of history Sevilla.Para those who do not know it, you should know that this beer garden is located on one side of the park of Maria Luisa and behind the Palacio de San Telmo.
